The start of something new..

Firstly, Hurray! Welcome to my blog, which I have been waiting to say for a while now!
I’m Elly, and this is my blog ‘Elly’s Furry Tales’. It will heavily feature my little family, and as this is our first blog it’d only be right to introduce us and tell you a little bit about us all.

I live in the beautiful countryside in Somerset with my Fiancé James, and our dog Fudge. We’re only 15 miles from the beautiful Jurassic coast, where we enjoy spending a lot of time. I like to go exploring places and walking, which means I get to take Fudge lots of places with me and means I get to fulfil my other hobby which is photography [I wish I could say I’m good enough for it to be my profession but it’s just something that I enjoy].

My fiancé, James, in his spare time is a triathlete, participating especially in Iron distance triathlons; for those of you who don’t know [and don’t worry, I expect that to be most of you], they are triathlons consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run, crazy ey?! So we go to various different races where James participates, and regularly travel different places for James to train.

Last but definitely not least, is our gorgeous Sprocker (Springer x Cocker) Spaniel Fudge. Fudge was born on Valentine’s day [Yes, she’s actually a Valentine’s baby!] in 2014, and has been with us since she was 9 months old. A typical Spaniel, she’s full of energy and such a happy little thing. Other than loving exploring on walks and going for runs with James [she is a spaniel after all], she adores her many toys, socks [especially when you’re trying to put them on!], and cuddling up on the sofa.

And that’s us! This blog will be mainly Fudge and dog friendly features, but will also include other aspects of our crazy lives. I hope you come back to visit when the next blog is up.
